BEFORE INSTALLATION

Test Run Unit-Plug unit into proper power supply
outlet. Refer to operating instructions in this Hand-
book for Comfortable Living. Check all controls for
correct operation, then unplug unit.

Determine Correct Mounting procedure-Refer to
Window Installation or Through-the-Wall installation.

THROUGH-THE-WALL 
INSTALLATION 

Screwdriver-Philips head type 
Power drill (1/8" drill bit) 
Pencil
Measuring Tape 
Scissors or a razor edged knife

Moving parts can cause personal injury. 
Be careful when test-running unit. 
Do not operate unit with front grille removed.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1

Determine Window Location.
Determine a suitable location.
The window where the Air Conditioner is 
to be installed should have enough 
strength to bear the weight of the 
Air Conditioner.

Step 2

Measure unit's dimensions.

Step 3 

Install the Mounting Angle at the Proper 
Location

Install the Air Conditioner using the Mounting Angle
or other Mounting Hardware where you want. The
Mounting Angle or other Hardware to be installed
as shown in Fig. 3
For proper drainage, Rear side of the Unit should be
inclined about 10 mm lower.

Step 4 –

Insert unit in window 
With 2 people, lift unit and insert it into the 
window opening.

Two people must work together to avoid personal

Step 5 –

Finish opening
Close up the gap between unit and 
window using the sponge or tape for 
insulation as shown in Fig. 3.

Through-the-wall installation can be made in
wood framing or masonry walls with or without
field-supplied wall sleeve. The casing or sleeve
must be installed level so that built-in pitch to out-
side aids in draining condensate. The installation
should be weather-proof outside and finished
inside.

Installations in wood framed or masonry walls can
be made using the casing as a sleeve. Fasten the
casing directly to masonry or studding using field-
supplied masonry or wood screws.
