8. CARE AND CLEANINIG
WARNING:
It is necessary to stop the air conditioner and disconnect the power supply
before performing service and maintenance operations.
8.1 Cleaning Return Air Grille and Air Filter:
If the air filter becomes clogged, the performance will decrease and electricity will be wasted
.
The air filters should be checked and cleaned about once every month to assure maximum cooling
and heating efficiency.
Removal steps of return air grille and air filters:
1.
There are four pieces of air filter attached with the return air grille, located at both sides, middle
of grille and at the bottom of the grille (see figure above).
2.
Hold both upper sides of the grille and pull it up, let it slant downwards until the rope become
straight.
3.
Take hold of the knob of the air filter and pull it upward.
4.
The return air grille should be removed first before take out the middle and bottom filters.
Use the screwdriver to loosen the screw fasten the rope, then remove the return air grille.
Cleaning steps of return air grille and air filters:
1.
The return air grille can be wiped with water or a cloth dipped water. Wash it with water and dry it in
a cool place.
2.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust or wash the air filter with water, and dry it in the shadow.
Installation steps of air filters and return air grille:
Installation process of the air filter and return air grille is the reverse of the removal process.
CAUTIONS:
•
Make sure nothing has been forgotten or fallen into the fan before installing the return air grille.
•
Before operating the air conditioner again, check that air filter and return air grille are in their
place inside the air conditioner.
