Si, debido a alguna razón, la temperatura de retorno dis-
minuye lentamente o incluso aumenta, el control de free-co-
oling reacciona activando las etapas de compresor requeri-
das por el control termostático.
De esta forma, la temperatura de consigna se alcanza
con un razonable ahorro de energía.
Si la unidad no incorpora el opcional de control de pre-
sión de condensación y la temperatura exterior es menor de
19 ºC, se activa automáticamente una función de protección
interna. Esta protección desactiva todas las etapas de com-
presor cuando la temperatura exterior es menor de 19 ºC
para evitar que la unidad trabaje fuera de las condiciones no-
minales. Sin embargo, el control de free-cooling permanece
activo para alcanzar la consigna requerida.
El control de free-cooling gestionara, la posición de la
compuerta exterior, dependiendo de la temperatura de im-
pulsión, desde el valor de apertura mínima seleccionada has-
ta el valor de máxima apertura (100%), tal y como se mues-
tra en la siguiente gráfica.

La función de free-cooling actúa de forma idéntica tanto
en modo de control LOCAL como en modo de control TER-
MOSTATO REMOTO.
If for some reason the return temperature reduces slowly
or even increases, the free-cooling control reacts by activa-
ting the compressor stages as demanded by the thermostatic
control.
In this way, the set temperature is reached with a signifi-
cant energy saving.
If the unit does not incorporate the condensation-pressu-
re-control option and the external temperature is less than
19 ºC, an internal-protection feature is automatically activa-
ted. This protection deactivates all the compressor stages
when the external temperature is less than 19 ºC to prevent
the unit from operating beyond the nominal conditions.
However, the free-cooling control remains active in order to
reach the required setting.
The free-cooling control will adjust the position of the ex-
ternal shutter, according to the out-flow temperature, from
the selected minimum-opening setting to the maximum-ope-
ning setting (100%) as shown in the following figure:
