   Carrier’s technological leadership
has risen to a new level with the
development of the 38EYA Heat
Pump, the outdoor section of a
superior split heat pump system. This
leadership effort has yielded a
product that delivers proven
performance to the new construction
market.

Puron®, the environmentally
sound refrigerant

—The 38EYA

uses Puron, the environmentally
sound refrigerant which provides
homeowners with additional peace of
mind because Puron has zero ozone-
depletion potential.

In addition, thanks to the
performance advantage of Puron, the
38EYA is extremely efficient with
ratings from 12 to 14 SEER.
Maximum performance and
efficiency are made possible through
the use of the FX4A and FV4A fan
coils, which are custom made for
Puron applications.

Puron refrigerant also protects
homeowners against the future cost
of service from the potentially
increased cost of servicing units
using R-22 as it is phased out due to
legislated production limits.

feature of the 38EYA is the patent-
pending PressureGuard™, which
enables the use of standard line sets
currently used in the industry.
