Alarms and Diagnostics
Before you Begin
Because this is a quick start guide, the information presented here is not comprehensive. For more
complete descriptions of alarms, statuses and diagnostics, consult the user manual.
LEDs
The LEDs on the front panels of the FLEXmaster16, FLEXmaster8A and FLEXmasterDS3c
application modules are described below.
Module Status
Link Status - FLEXmaster16 and FLEXmaster8A
For more details about individual alarms, see the Card Statistics window (see Viewing Link and
Port Status on page 50).
LED State Description
PST blinking Passed power on self test.
Indicates this is the master module for the chassis.
ALM solid red Alarm - failed power on self test
State Description
solid red OOF- out of frame.
AIS
solid green Link is up.
blinking red LOS.
solid yellow Yellow sync alarm or RAI. Indicates red alarm on the far end.
blinking yellow Diagnostic function present.
off Link is disabled.
