Safety instructions when operating the appliance

Always use the appliance for the appropriate purpose!

 

·

The appliance must not come into contact with flammable materials. It must also  

 

·

not be used near flammable materials because the straightening plates reach  
temperatures of approx. 200°C!
Never cover the straightening plates with any object!

 

·

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced 

 

·

physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless 
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a 
person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

 

·

Keep packaging material e.g. plastic bags out of the reach of children! 

 

·

Caution! Risk of burns from the straightening plates and
hot appliance parts!

Never grasp the curl clip on or near the straightening plates when the appliance is on 

 

·

since this can cause burns (approx. 15 min to cool). Avoid any contact between hot 
appliance parts and your skin and eyes. Never transport the appliance when it is hot!

Warning! Risk of injury through electric shock!

Never use the appliance with wet hands, in or near the bath, shower or over a filled 

 

·

washbasin. If the appliance falls into water, remove the mains plug immediately. 
Under no circumstances reach into the water when the appliance is still connected to 
the power supply!

water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off!
Never put the appliance on soft cushions or blankets during operation!

the mains and let the appliance cool down!
Do not place the appliance or the connecting cable on hot surfaces e.g. cooker or 

 

·

similar or in the vicinity of open flames!

Caution! Risk of burns with hairspray!

Never apply any flammable substances, e.g. hairspray, etc. to your hair before using 

 

·

this appliance. These substances may ignite upon contact with the hot straightening 
plates or curl clip and cause burns.

The appliance may only be used on dry, natural hair. Do not use on artificial hair!

 

·

The appliance is not suitable for straightening animal hair!

 

·

The installation of a faulty current protective device with a rated breaking current 

 

·

offers you additional safety by ensuring that 30 mA will not be exceeded in the 
house installation. Let your installation electrician advise you!
Remove the plug from the mains:

 

·

- if the unit does not function properly
- before cleaning
- after every use

Do not pull on the connecting cable and do not carry the unit by means of the cable!

 

·

Safety instructions for cleaning and maintenance

Always disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow the appliance to cool 

 

·

down before cleaning and maintenance, or if faults occur during operation!
Do not use the connecting cable to pull on the plug nor remove the plug from the 

 

·

socket with wet hands!
