CO-niveaus kunnen hebben in de omgevingslucht. Dit kan een

stijging veroorzaken van de uitgeademde CO met enkele ppm boven

wat er normaal in de adem aanwezig is. In deze gevallen is het

mogelijk dat een niet-roker onderaan het 'lichte roker'-bereik

(7-10 ppm) komt te staan.

De bovenstaande tabel is van toepassing wanneer de eenheid

uitgeademde CO meet met de schakelaar in de middelste positie.

Bij het meten van FCOHb met de schakelaar in de bovenste positie,

licht de rode indicator op wanneer de uitgeademde CO-meting

7 ppm of meer bedraagt.
