Chapter 6 Maximizing Your Contact Potential
with CardScan.Net
CardScan.Net is a powerful feature of CardScan enabling you to use your PCs
internet connection to enjoy:
•
Backup—
Provides a secure backup for you valuable contact
information. In the event of a hard-disk crash, or other catastrophic
events, you can quickly recover your CardScan data from CardScan.Net.
•
Remote Access from Anywhere—
If you are traveling, you can quickly
and securely access your contact database using a web browser and
your password. Also, if you have a PC at work and at home, you can
install CardScan on both of them. Keep a local copy of your contacts in
both places. No matter where you make changes, Cardscan.Net keeps
both copies up to date with each other. Changes made in one place are
automatically reflected in the other copy.
• AccuCard Service—
Your contacts are one of your most valuable assets,
but their information is always changing. They change titles, email
addresses, jobs, and their companies move. The AccuCard Service
helps you keep track of these changes painlessly.
Security for these features is provided by both password and the same
industry-standard technology that many financial institutions use for such
services as online banking and the like.
