5. Maintenance
5.1 General
Beside a regular maintenance (see next section), the safety and lifetime of the machine can be
enlarged by considering the following points.

Threat the machine with care
•
Regular clean the complete support.
Generally a regular maintenance (checking, cleaning and lubricating) has a positive influence on the
safety and lifetime of the tools.
5.2 Adjust and replace slide blocks
Because of friction between the slide blocks and the column, the slide blocks will wear. After a while
this will lead to a lower stability. The tolerance can be repaired on this way:
1. Unscrew (3) with the pin-face wrench
2. Turn in the set screw until the friction is gone.
3. Tighten screw 3 again.
When it is not possible anymore to adjust the slide blocks
can be replaced. Remove the screw (3) and (2) and
replace the slide blocks.
5.3 Removing materials
Because of environ-requests you have to consider the current rules for this. In case of an non
replaceable spare part, these has to be flown out by the concerned organisation. All the additional
costs are for own account.
