Connecting to a Wi-Fi Networ k
Camera A ccess Point
In this mode the camcorder itself serves as a wireless access point to which other Wi-Fi-enabled devices can
connect. Initially, basic settings for a Camera Access Point connection (network name (SSID): [
GX10-xxxx-
xx_Canon0C ], password: [ 12345678 ]) are already saved under network configuration profile [1:]. You can use
the default settings to connect immediately to the camcorder or follow the procedure below if you wish to
change the settings.
1 S elect [Connection S etting s ].

2 S elect the de s ired networ k configuration profile and then s elect [Camera Acce ss Point].

• You can save up to 4 network configuration profiles in the camcorder. If necessary, touch [

3 Enter the SS ID (networ k name) the camcorder will u s e a s a Wi-Fi acce ss point.

• The network name is needed to connect the network device to the camcorder. If necessary, write it down.
4 Touch [5 GHz] or [2.4 GHz] to s elect the fre q uency band for the Wi-Fi connection.
5 Touch [ Í ] or [ Î ] to s elect the de s ired channel and then touch [OK].
• Available channels will differ depending on the selected frequency band.
6 Touch [Open/No encryption] or [WPA2-P S K/AE S ] to s elect the encryption method.
• If you selected [Open/No encryption], skip to step 8.
7 Enter the encryption k ey (pa ss word).

1 Touch the keys on the screen to enter the desired text.
• Touch [

] to change the position of the cursor.
• Touch [123] to switch between letters and numbers/special
characters.
• Touch [

] to delete the character to the cursor's left.
• Touch [A/a] for caps lock. When the numerical keyboard is
displayed, [#%?] switches between set 1 and set 2 of special
characters.
• When entering passwords and other sensitive information, the character entered will change to a "
Ü
"
after a moment to protect the information.
2 After entering the desired text, touch [OK].
