<Cause>
• BJ cartridge not detected.
• BJ cartridge not installed.
• BJ Scanner cartridge combination wrong.
<Suspected parts>
BJ cartridges, carriage board, control
board, carriage ribbon cable, contacts
between BJ cartridge and carriage
<Measure>
Part 4: TROUBLESHOOTING BJC-6500

• Check that the contact section is free of foreign matter.
• Check that the Black or Photo BJ cartridge is on the left
and the Color BJ cartridge is on the right side of the
carriage.
• Check the Scanner cartridge is the left side of the carriage.
• Check that the cartridge lock lever is locked.
• Check the carriage ribbon cable for folds or other damage.
Visually check that BJ
cartridges are installed

Replace the BJ

Reinstall the BJ
cartridges
2.Replace the carriage

Replace both the left and right BJ cartridges.
