4. OPERATION CHECK AFTER DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
4.1 Check Procedure
After disassembly and reassembly, follow the procedure below to check the printer's operation.
1) After service/factory test printout with the printer alone
Check that the printer can print properly. The procedure is described in
7.1 Service Mode Operations
on page 2-28
.
After replacing the control board or the ink absorber, the following check procedure is also necessary in
addition to 1) above.

The service/factory test printout must show the correct ROM version and
model designation. It must also show the printed sheet count and that the
total waste-ink amount has been cleared. The printer driver must be able to
print the nozzle check pattern.
