Duster 3000
Island Clean Air Duster 3000FC Air Filtration System
Arizona 6100 series printers, like all piezoelectric drop-on-demand printers, introduce a certain
amount of cured ink particulate and chemical emissions into the atmosphere during printing.
These emissions can have an impact on operator comfort and safety.
Canon has strict standards for operator comfort and safety that often exceed the minimum legal
requirements, by design. In order to comply with these standards for operator comfort and
safety, all Canon companies are
required to include an air filtration system
in the configuration of
each Arizona 6100 Series printer installed at a customer site,
without exception
. We have found
an air filtration system that meets the functional requirements and is available in specific models
that meet the necessary electrical and environmental requirements of most countries. Confirm
with your local sales representative that there is a solution for your area. Also check the Arizona
6100 Site Preparation Guide or this section to view the recommended ventilation specifications.
The Duster 3000FC (FC = fume control) system is manufactured in Vancouver, Canada by Island
Clean Air. It is designed to filter the air in the room at an extraordinary rate of 85 cubic meters/
minute (3,000 cfm) and features two levels of particulate filtration and two different active carbon
filtration elements for reliable entrapment of particulate and chemical emissions. The two types
of particulate filters can be cleaned by vacuum cleaning and pressure washing by the operator for
multiple uses before replacement. The active carbon filters require occasional replacement. This
section explains how and when to clean or change the filters and maintain the Duster 3000FC.
