• To install an extra firewall box of the preferred supplier of the customer. This box is then to
be configured with all relevant ports for ORS and normal printing opened towards the
Onyx RIP.
OR
• via a manual action to secure the Windows firewall on the customer Onyx RIP correctly so
relevant protocols for ORS and Onyx can pass the Windows firewall
Whichever of the 2 options is chosen, this requires the installation of a software proxy
component on the Onyx RIP, to allow the traversal of ORS traffic towards the Internet from
the Arizona printer. This is a manual procedure, and the software proxy is comprised by the
industry standard Squid proxy software (
).
