Troubleshooting solution: PROBLEM -> CAUSE -> REMEDY
1. If your PROBLEM IS: No Power to Controller / No Indicator Lights showing on Front Display. Or “P” appears. The CAUSE is: Possible
that the controller or coupler is not connected properly. Your REMEDY is: Please turn the controller off and reconnect the coupler
properly. If you cannot troubleshoot, it means the internal connection of the electric blanket is broken. Need to be overhauled or
scrapped.
2. If your PROBLEM IS: No Indicator Lights showing on Front Display when a heat or time setting is selected. Or “E” appearing on the
screen. The CAUSE is: The blanket has been used while folded or crumpled and it has overheated. As a safety measure, the controller
has turned off. Your REMEDY is: Turn the controller OFF, unplug the blanket, lay it down completely flat and leave to cool down, and
then turn on the controller again. If problem persists, it is likely that the blanket has overheated and blown the Over-Temp thermal fuse.
The unit needs to be replaced.
3.If your PROBLEM IS: “C” appearing on the screen. The CAUSE is: The controller has been placed under or inside the blanket and it
has overheated. As a safety measure, the controller has turned off. Your REMEDY is: Turn the controller OFF, unplug the blanket, lay it
down completely flat and leave to cool down, and then turn on the controller again.
4. If your PROBLEM IS: Indicator Lights showing on Front Display but blanket is not heating. The CAUSE is:
a) Detachable Plug from Controller to Blanket is not fitted correctly or has come loose. Your REMEDY is: Ensure the detachable plug is
fitted correctly into the socket on the blanket.
b)The selected heat setting is too low. Your REMEDY is: Increase the Heat setting.
c) Pre-heat time is too short. Your REMEDY is: Allow the Electric Blanket more time to heat up. More time is required depending on the
ambient temperature.
d) Blanket not in contact with body. Your REMEDY is: The blanket may not feel warm to touch unless it is wrapped around your body.
Areas of the blanket not in contact will stay cool.
e) When selected at “H” high temperature setting, the temperature setting will automatically revert to “L” low temperature setting after 1
hour so as to avoid overheating which may cause discomfort. Your REMEDY is: Re-select at “H” or “7” temperature setting.
5. If your PROBLEM IS: The controller is Warm to Touch. The CAUSE is: This is normal. Your REMEDY is: Nothing to do. It is no cause
for alarm.
