6. MAINTENANCE
6.1 Routine maintenance
WARNING !
Before carrying out any maintenance operation, disconnect the tool from the compressed air hose.
All the maintenance operations which are not described in this manual have to be performed in a
CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorized Service Point.
The routine maintenance operations may be carried out by the operators.
6.1.1
General
Before any maintenance:

Disconnect the tool from the compressed air hose.
͌
Wear protection gloves
6.1.2
Chain tension adjustment
Perform the following operations:
͌
Loosen the nuts (A)
͌
Turn the screw (B) clockwise to stretch the chain (5), anti-clockwise to loosen it.
͌
Fix the nuts (A).
6.1.3
Replacing the chain
Perform the following operations:
͌
Remove the side protection (3).
͌
Loosen the nuts (A).
͌
Loosen the chain bar turning the screw (B) anti-clockwise.
͌
Remove and replace the chain paying attention to the correct position of the cutting teeth.
͌
Assemble the new chain.
͌
Stretch the chain bar screwing the adjusting screw (B) clockwise.
͌
The chain should be adjusted so that it is not stretched excessively and can be easily hand moved.
͌
When the right tension has been reached, lock the nuts (A) and reassemble the side protection (3).
6.1.4
Replacing the chain bar

Remove the side protection (3).
͌
Loosen the nuts (A).
͌
Loosen the chain bar turning the screw (B) anti-clockwise.
͌
Disassemble the bar and the chain and replace it.
͌
Put the bar onto the chain tensioning pin, then insert the washers into the bar pin and screw the nuts (A)
without locking them.
͌
Assemble the chain onto the bar drive and the sprocket. Be careful with the chain rotation direction and the
correct cutting teeth assembly and position.
͌
Stretch the chain bar (6) turning the adjusting screw (B) clockwise.
͌
The chain (5) should be adjusted so that it is not stretched excessively and can be easily hand moved.
͌
When the right tension has been reached, lock the nuts (A) and reassemble the side protection (3).
