4. Installation
The electric control panel must be fastened by
using the relevant holes on the back.
During installation do not damage the electronic
cards and the other electrical components found
inside of the box.
Provide for enough space all around the control
panel for natural cooling.
Do not install the control panel in places exposed
to direct sunlight or near sources of heat.
5. Electrical connection
Electrical connection must be carried out
by a qualified electrician in accordance
with local regulations.
Follow all safety standards.
The unit must be properly earthed (grounded).
Follow the instructions in the wiring diagram
hereto attached.
Once the electrical connection has been
completed, remove any pieces of wire, sheath,
washers or any other foreign bodies that may be
found inside the electric control panel.
5.1. Motors connection
The motors must be connected directly to the
output terminals of the contactors.
5.1.1. Inversion of the rotational
direction
(three-phase motors)
Utilising the three-phase electrical feed, check
that the rotational direction
corresponds to the
direction indicated by the arrow on the pump’s
body. If not, switch off the electrical feed and invert
the connections of the two phases.
5.2. Float switches connections
5.2.1. 3 float switches connections
The float switches must be connected to terminals
3-4 and 5-6, if the pumps are controlled by two
ON-OFF float switches.
The upper level float switch and the alarms
(optional) must be connected to terminals 7-8.
5.2.2. 4 float switches connections
The float switches must be connected to terminals
1-2, 3-4 and 5-6, if the pumps are controlled by
three float switches.
The upper level float switch and the alarms
(optional) must be connected to terminals 7-8.
5.3. Thermal protector connections
The thermal contact breakers in the windings of
the motors predisposed for external connection
must be connected to terminals 9-10 and 11-12.
