Option A

First time to Pair and connect with a Bluetooth device

1. Open the Bluetooth function of the intended device (such as smartphone)
2. Turn on the system by pressing the on/off button, the mode
    indicator flash slowly
3. Short Press the Bluetooth Pairing button, the mode indicator
will flashes quickly enter pairing mode (whether an audio cable
    is connected or not).
4. Perform the pairing procedure on the Bluetooth device to detect the system.
5. Select “Califone PABT31” shown in the display of the Bluetooth device.

If “Califone PABT31” does not appear on the device’s display, repeat step 2.

Notes

The pairing mode of the system is cancelled after about 3 minutes, and the Mode
indicator (blue) flashes slowly. If the pairing mode is cancelled while performing
this procedure, start over from step 2.

Once a Bluetooth device is paired, there is no need to pair it again. However, in
the following case, you will need to perform the pairing procedure again. The
PABT31 can be paired with up to 8 Bluetooth devices. If a new device is paired after
8 devices have been paired, the device whose oldest connection time among the
8 paired devices will be replaced by the newest one.

Option B

Connecting with a paired Bluetooth device

1. Set the Bluetooth function of the intended device to “ON”
2. Turn on the system, short press the BLUETOOTH-PAIRING button

The mode indicator (blue) will flash quickly

Tip

In the case of the last-connected Bluetooth device, the system will try to re-establish
the Bluetooth connection with it if the device’s Bluetooth function is on. When
the Bluetooth connection is established, the mode indicator (blue) on the PABT31
will flash slowly.

3. Select “Califone PABT31” shown in the display of the intended device. The
Bluetooth connection is established and the mode indicator (blue) on the system
will flash slowly.

Notes

This step may not be necessary for some devices. If the system cannot connect
to the Bluetooth device, delete“Califone PABT31” from the intended device, then
perform the pairing again.
