TX Activation Mode

DOX mode.
Data is sent whenever it is present at the port. Flow control is not required. All RS-422 and RS-
485 connections are run through DOX mode.

RTS/CTS mode
. Data is sent after the device raises the RTS and the Guardian returns a CTS signal to the
device. This setting is unique to the COM Port and RS-232.

VERSION REQUEST
The
Version Request
screen is accessed from the
Version icon
on the Guardian Programmer screen.
Selecting Version Request causes the Guardian Field Programming Software to display information about the
version of the Guardian hardware and firmware.

WRITING/READING GUARDIAN CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS
After all radio parameters are set up on the
Link Configuration
screen, select the
Save Changes
button to store the
information into the PC’s memory. Writing and reading Guardian Configuration parameters is accessed through
the User Configuration screen.
