Step 4: Install Ares’ IO Leg (Optional)
The IO leg can replace either the left or right lower leg to perform intra-osseous access and infusion
training procedures.
To attach the IO leg:
a. Remove the current left or right leg and foot from Ares at the knee joint using the Phillips
screwdriver that came with Ares and a 7/16” wrench.
b. Attach the left or right IO leg and foot to Ares’ thigh at the knee joint using the Phillips
screwdriver and 7/16” wrench.
c. Place IO tibia bone module with attached drain bag inside the open cavity in the lower
leg, ensuring the side with the tibial tuberosity is facing outwards.
