Using the Console
Switch Installation and Setup
If a command requires parameter values, it prompts you for them. For instance, in the example below,
show
is the
operator,
portconfig
is the switch-attribute, and
7a1
is the parameter indicating that you want to show configuration
information about port
7A1
.

If you don’t specify parameters with the command, the console prompts you for an input value and provides a default
value displayed in parenthesis. For example, if you enter
show portconfig
without specifying a port (as a parameter),
the following appears.
