- This field, up to 32 characters, displays the name
entered in the User Name field in the Chooser.

Comment
- Enter a field, up to 32 characters, containing
miscellaneous information.
•
MMAC addr = xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx
- Enter the address for the
MMAC to which the adapter is connected.
•
MMAC Port = xx
- Enter the number of the port on the
MMAC board to which the adapter is connected. These are
two-digit values, i.e., 01, 10, etc.
•
MMAC Board = xx
- Enter the number of the MMAC board
to which the adapter is connected. These are two-digit
values, i.e., 01, 02, etc.
•
IP = x.x.x.x
- Enter the Internet Protocol address for the
Macintosh in which the adapter is installed. In this address,
x is a one to three digit decimal number. This information
will appear in the PC Card Statistics Screen of Remote
LANVIEW/Windows.
Click Save in the management window. Close out of the Control
Panel and restart your Macintosh.
Each time your Macintosh is started, the management will be
automatically turned on. The management icon (View A, Fig. 3-3)
will appear on the startup screen. To turn management off:
•
Hold the mouse button down as the Macintosh starts up. A
is placed over the management icon (View B).

To turn management back on, simply Restart your Macintosh.
If a
is placed over your management icon when you start up:
•
Check that FDDITalk is selected in the Network option of your
Control Panel.
•
Restart your Macintosh without pressing the mouse button.
