SmartSwitch Router 2000 Getting Started Guide

When you are ready to begin configuring the SSR 2000, use procedures in 

Chapter 3

“Software Installation and Setup” on page 59

 to power on the switch and boot the 

software. You will perform initial setup by entering CLI commands on the 
management console.

Connecting to the 10/100Base-TX Port

Use the RJ-45 10/100Base-TX DTE port for Telnet connection from a host on the network. 
The port is configured for Media Data Interface (MDI). 

Figure 14

 shows where to plug in 

to the SSR 2000’s 10/100Base-TX port. The procedure following the figure describes how 
to set up and insert the cable.
