6. Remove and discard all joint hardware and the detached line with nozzle
and carabiner. DO NOT REUSE OLD HARDWARE. ONLY USE THE NEW
HARDWARE PROVIDED WITH THE REPLACEMENT KIT FOR NEW LINE
REPLACEMENT!
7. Insert the new threaded dowel pin into
the loop formed by the blue webbing
(Figure 8). Align the threaded hole with
the hole in the blue webbing loop.
8. Using the Allen wrench, secure
the new replacement line to
the blue webbing by running
the bolt through the hole in
the blue webbing, and into the
threaded dowel pin
(Figure 9).
9. While tightening the bolt, ensure
that the two dowel pins and the blue
and black webbing loops remain
parallel
(Figure 10). Realign the pins
if necessary. Make certain the bolt
is tight. Avoid excessive loosening
and re-tightening of the bolt, as this

will wear off the nylon patch on the bolt. DO NOT RE-USE THE OLD
BOLT, as the patch will have worn off, and may loosen during operation!
