Burn hazard!
Nozzle and molten adhesive can be over 200 °C hot. Wear heat-resistant gloves when
performing servicing and maintenance operations.
6.3.1
Replacing the cone nozzle (HB 720 K)
Tools needed
• no tools needed
1. Let the device heat up thorougly.
2. Unscrew the conical nozzle (A1) from the nozzle block (A2).
If the nozzle is very firmly seated, use water pump pliers.
3. Screw on the new cone nozzle. Tighten the cone nozzle by hand.
6.3.2
Replacing the swirl nozzle, pressure spring & ball (HB 720 K Spray)
Tools needed
•
1 hook spanner
• 1
open-end spanner
size 11
When replacing the swirl nozzle, make sure that there is no cartridge in the device.
1. Disconnect the compressed-air supply.
2. Without using force, twist off the retainer ring (B1) with the hook spanner in a warm
condition.
3. Remove the protection cap (B3) and air cap (B2).
4. Loosen the swirl nozzle (B4) with the open-end spanner size 11.
5. Remove the pressure spring (B5) behind the swirl nozzle and the ball (B6).
6. Fit the new components in reverse order.
