5. Insert the chosen tubing accessory into the
appropriate port located on the fluid trap.
6. The fluid trap is equipped with measurement
increments located on the front of the device to
approximate
the amount of fluid captured.
WARNING: Ensure that the fluid trap is not over-filled. Once the fluid level reaches 100cc, the
fluid trap should be changed.
7. Once filled, or at the end of each procedure, remove
the tubing accessory and place the appropriate cap
stored on the top of the fluid trap onto the open port.
8. Carefully remove the fluid trap from the filter and
replace the cap on the back of the fluid trap.
9. Discard the used fluid trap per facility protocol.
WARNING: The fluid trap is completely disposable and should be considered biohazardous
after use. Please dispose of according to your local codes or regulations and hospital policy.
This fluid trap may be disposed of or incinerated, whichever is appropriate for your institution.
WARNING: The fluid trap should only be used by a trained individual.
