7 Taking out of operation
The unit must be emptied of any harmful substances and
cleaned thoroughly. This will rule out all risk of persons suffering
injury from contact with harmful materials.
7.1 Storage
The unit and its spare parts should be stored in a dry place.
7.2 Packaging/transport
The original packaging is specifically designed for transporting
the unit and the glass components. Use only the original
packaging when transporting the items to another location.
7.3 Disposal
To help you dispose of the rotary evaporator in as environment-
friendly a way as possible, we have listed the materials (and
material codes) of its main parts in Chapter 9, ‘Annex’, Table 12.
You are thus able to sort the parts accordingly for recycling. The
disposal of electrical components is governed by special
guidelines. It is also imperative to observe your regional and local
laws concerning waste disposal.
