3.4 PTZ AND RS-485 SETUP
The recorder enables users to control a motorised camera. To enable the PTZ function, the RS485 cable must be
connected to the RS-485 port on the recorder (see section 2.5, Connection for a PTZ camera).

Enable PTZ
Check or uncheck this box to enable or disable the PTZ function on each
camera.
Protocol
Sets up the protocol of the PTZ camera. The following protocols are
supported: PELCO-P, PELCO-D, KND, Luch, LG and Samsung.
PTZ ID
Click or press
to set up the PTZ ID
It must be between 1 and 64.
Baud Rate
Select the PTZ baud rate (2400, 4800, 9600, 19200).
RS-485 ID
Not applicable.
RS-485 Baud Rate
Keyboard
For motorised cameras in the current range: set up the recorder with the “Pelco D” protocol and a baud
rate of “2400 Bauds”.
