To turn the base speaker off while still
engaged on a call, press the
OPTIONS
button repeatedly until the display shows
LISTEN OFF
.

Press the
SELECT
button and the base unit
speaker is switched off.
To change channel
While engaged on a call, or after pressing the
TALK
button to select talk mode, you can
instruct your Freestyle 1500 Plus to search
through its channel frequencies and select the
best one.

Press the
OPTIONS
button until the display
shows
CHANNEL
.
•
Press the
SELECT
button; the display clears
temporarily and your Freestyle 1500 Plus
cycles through the channels and selects the
one which currently has the least
interference.
To dial Recall
If you have an ordinary telephone extension
to a PBX, you would normally use the
RECALL
button to put a call on hold and transfer it to
another extension. If your Freestyle 1500 Plus
is connected as an extension to a PBX, you can
do the same thing from the Options menu,
during a call.

wish to transfer the call, as normal.
Call screening and intercept
When the answering machine is switched on,
you can monitor incoming calls from the handset
and choose whether to take the call personally
or let your Freestyle 1500 Plus take a message.

When the phone rings, the handset display
shows
CALL
.
•
When your Freestyle 1500 Plus is playing its
outgoing message, the handset display shows
OGM PLAY
. When it is recording the incoming
message the handset display shows
RECORD
.
•
During the call press the
ANS.PHONE/SECRECY
button on the handset,
display shows
SCREEN
. You will now be able
to hear the caller leaving their message.
•
If you want to intercept the call, press the
TALK
button, the answering machine will stop
recording and you will be able to talk to the
caller. At the end of the call, the answering
machine will switch back on and the previously
recorded part of the call will be saved.
