6.1.7 Document Cover

Do not remove the document cover in the disassembly jobs except when replacing it with a new
one. Performing disassembly jobs with the document cover being set prevents the scanner glass
from getting scratched or damaged.

(1) Return the machine to the original position.

NOTE:

When placing a machine from which the bottom plate has been removed, put an

appropriate pad (about A4-sized) under the machine to prevent the flat cables and harnesses

from getting crushed.

(2)

Turn the document cover upright and lift it up and off.
