[ 2 ] Error codes contained in "MACHINE ERROR X X" messages
Using Function code 82 (described in Chapter 9, Section 9.4.27 ) displays the most recent error
in the format of "MACHINE ERROR XX." The XX represents one of the error codes listed in
this section.
Note: When checking a PCB as instructed in the "Solution" column, also check its harness.
Note: To check sensors, use Function code 32 described in Chapter 9, Section 9.4.9 (that is,
press the 3 and 2 keys in the maintenance mode).

DX cam malfunction.

face printing had made the
paper curly or wavy so that
switchbacking the paper
caused a paper jam in the
switchback paper path. Pull out the DX paper tray #1,
open the DX cover, and
remove the jammed paper.
Open the outer back cover and
the inner back cover DX, and
remove the jammed paper.
Open the scanner cover and
remove the jammed paper.
DX cam switch defective Correct the connection of the
DX cam switch harness to the
main PCB.
Replace the duplex unit.
Transmission failure of ASF
motor drive torque Replace the link gear holder
DX ASSY.
ASF motor defective Correct the connection of the
ASF motor harness to the main
PCB.
Replace the ASF motor.
DX flapper defective Replace the duplex unit.
