Brocade Host Bus Adapter Quick Installation Guide

Procedure
1. Obtain software from the Brocade HBA web site at
www.brocade.com/hba
using one of these options:

Download the appropriate HBA Software Installer for your host system:
bfa_setup_windows_<version>.exe (Windows)
bfa_setup_linux_<version>.bin (Linux)
bfa_setup_<solaris version>_platform>_<version>.bin (Solaris)

Download an ISO 9660 (.iso) optical disk image from the Brocade HBA
web site. The brocade_hba_ISO_<date>.iso image includes the latest
HCM, HBA driver packages, boot installation packages, and
documentation. Use the .iso image to create a CD that you can carry to
your system for installation tasks.
NOTE
For Windows systems only. Using a CD created with the ISO image will
automatically start the correct installer program for your system. Make
sure that the autorun feature is enabled. If using this CD, skip to step 3.
2. Execute the appropriate HBA Software Installer (refer to
step 1
).
The Brocade Software Installer Introduction screen displays with
instructions for using the installer.
3. Select Next.
4. When the License Agreement displays, select I accept the terms of the
License Agreement, then click Next to continue.
5. If a backup directory exists for previously installed software, a message
displays prompting you to restore the data directory. Select either to
restore or not to restore and continue installation. If this message does not
display, go on to
step 6
.
6. If a message displays that an older version of the software already exists
on your system, select either of the following options, then skip to step
step 9
. If this message does not display, go on to
step 7
.

Existing configurations. The installer compares each configured
property and keeps the original value if different than the default
value.
