To use the DC-8 Plus as a DTMF tone decoder for tones 1 through 8, follow the listed
steps below.
•
Jumper Status inputs one and two to the DGND terminals.
•
Connect the audio output of the device to be monitored to the AUX + /- input
terminals.
•
Connection to the phone line and telephone are NOT required for this option.
•
Put the OPERATE / LOCAL switch into the LOCAL position (IN).
•
Adjust the rear panel “AUX IN” level control to accommodate proper tone detection.
NOTE:
Overloading the send or aux audio input, may cause erratic
DTMF operation.
