A
Check each time you use
the equipment
Inspect the equipment each time
before you use it. Do not use
the equipment if safety devices
(switch handle, safety covers)
and/or if the cutting device is
damaged or worn. Never dis-
able safety devices.
Check the work area before start-
ing work. Remove any foreign
bodies present (e. g. stones,
branches or bones). Check for
foreign bodies whilst working.
Always wear sturdy shoes and
long trousers when working.
Never work barefoot or when
wearing only light sandals.
Only have cutting tools
replaced by Brill Service or your
authorised specialist dealer.

Make sure that there are no
other people (especially children)
or animals within or near the
working area.
Powered equipment can cause
serious injuries! You are respon-
sible for safety in the area where
you are working. Never start the
equipment whilst tilted – risk of
injury!
11. Instructions for correct use, safety instructions
General
Faults usually occur if the unit
has not been handled, cared for
or maintained properly. The fol-
lowing table contains the most
common faults and remedies to
eliminate these faults. If you have
any other problems, please con-
tact your nearest service centre
authorised by the manufacturer,
or your nearest authorised
specialist dealer.

require specialist
knowledge must only be carried
out by an authorised specialist.

Caution! For safety rea-
sons, only use original
spare parts supplied by the
manufacturer or parts that have
been authorised by the manu-
facturer.
We expressly point out that in
accordance with product liability

damage caused by our units if
this damage is due to improper
repair or if parts exchanged
are not our original parts or
parts approved by us, and if the
repairs were not carried out at
service centre authorised by the
manufacturer or by an authori-
sed specialist. The same applies
to spare parts and accessories.
10. Troubleshooting

You can obtain replacement
aerator cylinders from your Brill
dealer or from Brill Service.
Aerator springs worn.
Remove the aerator cylinder and
re-assemble it (see No. 9).
Aerator cylinder incorrectly

Aerator cylinder not working.
You can obtain replace brushes
from your Brill dealer or from
Brill Service.
Brushes worn.
Change the working method
(see No. 8).
Incorrect working method.
Sweeping machine does not
collect the refuse.
Remove grass or refuse.
Aerator roller or brushes
blocked by grass or refuse
in the housing.
Clean contacts.
Battery clip contacts soiled.
Charge battery.
Battery is not charged.
Appliance is Switched On.
Either the aerator roller or the
brushes are not rotating.
