Installation Instructions Cont.
Install the inside wall portion of the wall thimble
and seal the entire inside with a high tempera-
ture silicone sealant. This is critical to prevent
drafts. See figure 10

With the unit installed into the wall;
Caulk the vent collar and fire stop from the outside to prevent
cold drafts.
Install the termination.
When installing the fireplace into the wall
DO NOT
flush the front of the unit with the wall facing. The unit must
project approximately
3”
past the final wall finish to accept the surround.
DO NOT
block the air holes on the top of the surround or countersink the surround into the wall.
