Service Bulletin #18
Hold placement
It is very important
when placing holds on the Treadwall that the
holds do not overlap the
space between two panels.
A hold that overlaps two panels will restrict the machine from
rotating as the panel moves around the bottom or top of the Treadwall. In an extreme case, the
force can cause a hold or panel to break.
If the Treadwall suddenly locks up and will not rotate, check the bottom and top of the wall,
front and back, to make sure that a hold has not rotated and overlapped two panels.
Lockup can also be caused by loose chains. See bulletin #10
.
