Moroccan spiced toast
2 x 60g eggs, beaten

teaspoon vanilla extract

cup caster sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
4 slices French stick bread, thickly sliced diagonally
1. Select ‘Grill’ function and preheat grill for 5 minutes.
2. Combine eggs, milk and vanilla extract, mix well.
3. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg, set aside.
4. Dip both sides of bread slices into egg mixture,
then into sugar and spice mixture. Place onto grill
rack inserted into baking pan.
5. Grill bread slices for 5 minutes or until lightly
golden brown. Turn and grill another 5 minutes or
until golden.
Serve warm with coffee.
Focaccia-style pizza

cup tomato paste
2 pieces Focaccia bread (approx. 15cm x 10cm),
cut in half
1 tomato, sliced
1 onion, sliced
60g sliced salami

cup sliced green capsicum
60g button mushrooms, sliced
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1. Select the ‘Grill’ function and preheat for 5 minutes.
2. Spread the tomato paste evenly over the open
focaccia slices.
3. Arrange tomato, onion, salami, capsicum and
mushrooms evenly over focaccia slices. Sprinkle
with herbs and cheese.
4. Grill 2 prepared slices for 5-10 minutes or until
topping has softened and cheese melted. Repeat
with two remaining focaccia slices.
Serve Hot.
