WARNINGS
What to do
Before fitting your child car seat, read these
•
instructions carefully. Remember, an incorrect
installation could be dangerous.
Only use the child car seat facing the direction
•
of travel of the vehicle.
Store this instruction booklet in a safe place: it
•
is recommended that it be kept inside the car
or in the pocket (Pic.1-L) on the left side of the
armrest for quick reference.
Ensure that once the child car seat is fitted,
•
none of its harness straps or of the child car
seat belts can become trapped by the vehicle
seat moving parts or the vehicle’s door.
IMPORTANT:
•
ALWAYS
use the car’s seat
belts. The Isofix anchoring points provide sup-
plementary fastening.
Make sure every time you use the child car se-
•
atthat the vehicle’s seat belt is tight and the car
seat is held firmly in place.
Check every time you fit the child car seat that
•
the vehicle seat belt has not become twisted.
Check every time you place your child in the
•
child car seat that the safety harness is properly
adjusted and the buckle is correctly locked.
Car interiors may become very hot when left
•
standing in direct sunlight - it is therefore re-
commended that the child car seat, when not
in use, is covered by a towel etc.; this prevents
components, particularly those attached to the
child seat, becoming hot and burning the child.
Regularly check the child car seat for signs of
•
wear, especially the cover, the harness web-
bing and its buckle.
Before travelling, check that luggage or any mo-
•
ving object, especially heavy or sharp objects,
are secured in the car; loose objects are liable
to cause injury in the event of an accident.
If the child car seat shows signs of wear, con-
•
tact the dealer’s after-sales service centre.
When travelling with other passengers, for
•
safety reason, lighter occupants should be
preferably in the rear of the vehicle and the
heavier occupant in the front passenger seat;
moreover, check that all passengers travelling
with you have their seat belt fastened.
Whenever the child car seat is left in the vehicle
•
without the child in it, always ensure it is correct-
ly fitted using the vehicle’s seat belt, preventing
it from being thrown about in an accident.
The child car seat should always be secured
•
using the vehicle’s seat belts, even when
children are not being transported, as the car
seat’s movement in the event of an accident,
