Parts overview

1. Scope (lower part)

2. Objective lens

3. Scope (upper part)

4. Eyepiece

Operation

You can use your spotting scope as soon as you take

it out of the package. Hold the scope with one hand

on the lower part (1). Then, holding the eyepiece (4)

in front of your eye, look at a far-away object (e.g. a

church tower).

If you do not see the object in focus immediately, you

can slowly extend or retract the upper part of the scope

(3). You will see that the focus changes. Depending on

how far away an object is, you will have to adjust the

focus in this way from time to time.

Notes on cleaning

Clean the eyepieces and/or lenses only with a soft, lint-

free cloth, (e.g. a microfibre cloth). To avoid scratching

the lenses, use only gentle pressure with the cleaning

cloth.

To remove more stubborn dirt, moisten the cleaning

cloth with an eyeglass-cleaning solution and wipe the

lenses gently.

Protect the device from dust and moisture. After use,

particularly in high humidity, let the device acclimatize

for a short period of time, so that the residual moisture

can dissipate before storing.
