• This operation may be conducted for up to 80 laps. Following this, nothing fur-
ther will happen.
• In each lap, a short press on P2 allows
SPLIT
x intermediate times (4 per lap) to
be recorded.
• Stopping the timing (end of the last lap) is done with a long press on P2.
• During timing, a long press on P1 returns the counter to 0 and erases all the race
details (
ERASE
); when the counter is stopped, this operation can be done with a
long press on P2.
• In the event of being forgotten, the ongoing round will stop automatically after
99 hours and display
OVF
.
c) Introducing a lap length
The lap length for each race may be introduced as follows:
• Select the
RACE
function by rotating the crown.
• Press P2 to display the desired race.
• Pull on the crown: the upper screen will display
SETRACE
and then
LENGTH
.
Confirm by pressing P1.
• After this, the distance unit flashes on the upper display (
KM
for kilometers or
MI
for miles). Select the unit by rotating the crown and confirm by pressing P2.
– The
LENGTH
function which allows the length of the lap (in kilometers or
miles) to be introduced before the race. It is also possible to introduce it after
the race (see chapter 13 c).
– The
PARK
function (
PARK
ON
or
PARKOFF
) which allows the minute and hour
hands to be parked automatically during the timing.
– Synchronization of the seconds hand (
SyNCHRO
), if the seconds hand does not
position itself precisely on 0. Turn the crown to reposition the hand on 0 and
confirm by pressing P1.
• Confirm the setting by pressing P1 and/or pushing the crown back to neutral
position 1.
b) Timing a race
•
Select the
RACE
function by rotating the crown; the seconds hand positions itself
at noon and becomes the chronograph hand. The upper screen displays
RACE
x,
with x corresponding to the ongoing race.
• To activate a new race, give P1 a long press.
• Pressing on P1 starts the chronograph. The upper screen displays
LAP
yy (yy being
the number of the lap), the lower screen the hours, minutes and seconds up to
99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
• A second press on P1 stops lap xx and starts lap xx+1 and so on.
