Using a stud
finder, locate and
mark the
exact
center
of
each
stud (see page 7
if you have 3 or
less stud locations)
along the “
Bed
Cabinet Top
Nailer
”. To do this,
slowly move the
stud finder from
left-to-right until
you locate the left
edge of the stud
and mark this
location. Then,
slowly move the
stud finder from
right to left until
you locate the
right edge of the
stud and mark this
location. Once you
have both edges of
the studs marked,
measure to the
exact center
of
the stud.
STEP 2
Pre-drill “
Bed Cabinet Top Nailer
” using a 3/16” drill bit at each
stud center and slightly countersink with a countersink bit or
3/8” drill bit.
You must drill through the warning tape/label if
necessary. This warning contains important safety information
for disassembly and
must not be removed!
STEP 3
Most wall studs are 1 1/2” wide and measure 16” on center (center-to-
center), or in some cases may measure 24” on center.
