Part 2 Safety Prescriptions
2.1
INTRODUCTION TO THE SAFETY PRESCRIPTIONS
Read and follow these warnings and the instructions that follow. Failure to
do so could result in serious property damage and/or serious bodily injury.
2.1
a) Keep work area clean
. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
b) Observe work area conditions.
Do not use machine or device in damp or wet
locations.

Keep people away.
People must never be allowed in the work area. Safety di-
stance 4m(13.1 ft)
d) Store idle equipment.
When not in use, the device must be stored in a dry lo-
cation to inhibit rust. Keep out of reach of children.
e) Dress properly.
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in
moving parts. Protective, electrically nonconductive clothes and nonskid footwear
are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering to contain long
hair.
f) Use eye protection
g) Check for damaged parts.
Before using the device, any part that appears da-
maged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and
perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving parts;
any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect pro-
per operation. Any part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced
by a qualified technician. Do not use the device if any switch does not operate pro-
perly.Check the load cradle chain in order to verify if damages are present.
h) Replacement parts and accessories.
When servicing, use only identical re-
placement parts. Use of any other parts will void the warranty. Only use accesso-
ries intended for use with this device. Approved accessories are available from

i) Maintenance.
For your safety, service and maintenance should be performed
regularly by a qualified technician.
j) DO NOT use the device for any other purpose than lifting drywall panels.
Do not lift more than one panel at a time and do not lift more than 40kg (89 Lbs)
k) Only use the device to raise panels.
After raising the panel, immediately fix in
place using the recommended type, number and pattern of nails, adhesive or
screws. Do not use this lift to store panels.
l) Place the device on correct surface.
Only use this device with the platform-
Leonardo HD on a stable, level, clean and dry surface that is capable of sustaining
the load.
m) Stabilize the load.
Ensure that the load remains stable at all times.
n) Center load.
Center the load on the device. Off
