Lift Terminology
The inner roll stop and outer bar-
riers sense weight to prohibit lift
operation. The lift will not function
if the inner roll stop or outer barri-
ers are occupied. The lift platform
cannot be stowed if occupied.
The lift platform cannot be raised
or lowered unless the roll stop
and outer barriers are deployed
(up).
Vehicle and Lift Interlocks
Braun Corporation NUVL Series
lifts comply fully with all NHTSA
vehicle and lift interlock speci-
fi
cations. Vehicle movement is
prohibited unless the lift is fully
stowed and the lift will not func-
tion unless the vehicle is parked
and secured.
The NUVL855RM24 features
a visible and audible threshold
warning system that will activate
if the threshold area is occupied
when the platform is one inch or
more below
fl
oor level.
inner roll stop bridges the gap
between the lift platform and the
vehicle
fl
oor. The inner roll stop
automatically rotates from the
horizontal position to the verti-
cal position as the lift lowers and
raises. Further details regarding
the automatic mechanical inner
roll stop are provided on pages
17 and 18.
Platform Cable-activated Man-
ual Release System:
A cable-
activated manual release system
releases the platform carriage
assembly drive chain to allow the
platform carriage assembly to be
manually moved out (extended)
or moved in (retracted), should it
be necessary. Further details are
provided on page 36.
