7.  Modelling Lamp Output/Control (16)(17)(18)

The modelling lamp light is controlled by three push button switches on the control

panel. (For modelling lamp wattage see Flash Heads section).

I.  Modelling ON/OFF (16)

z

When the LED above the ON/OFF push button switch is illuminated, this indicates

that Modelling ‘ON’ is selected.

z

Press the ON/OFF push button to toggle the modelling light between ‘ON’ and

‘OFF’.

II.  Modelling CONTINUOUS/INTERMITTENT (17)

z

When the LED above the ‘CONTINUOUS/INTERMITTENT’ push button switch is

illuminated, this indicates that ‘CONTINUOUS’ is selected and the modelling light
will stay on all the time.

z

Press the ‘CONTINUOUS/INTERMITTENT’ push button to toggle between

‘INTERMITTENT’ and ‘CONTINUOUS’.

z

With ‘INTERMITTENT’ selected the modelling light will go out when the Generator

is flashed and back on when returned to ready. This will indicate from the camera
position that all units in use have fired.

III. Modelling FULL/RATIO (18)

z

When the LED above the ‘FULL/RATIO’ push button switch is illuminated this

indicates that ‘FULL’ is selected. With ‘FULL’ selected the modelling light in all
flash heads in use will be at ‘FULL’ output regardless of the flash output settings.

z

Press the ‘FULL/RATIO’ push button to toggle between ‘FULL’ and ‘RATIO’. With

‘RATIO’ selected the modelling light output from all flash heads in use will be set in
ratio to their corresponding flash outputs.

8.  Synchronisation & Photocell (5)(6)(7)(28)(29)

z

To test the flash operation of the Generator press the Open Flash button (15).

z

The built in photocell may be used for remote triggering. When the LED above the

‘Photocell’ push button (13) is illuminated the sounder is switched ‘ON’. Press the
‘Photocell’ push button to toggle between Photocell ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’.

z

Three ‘Sync.’ sockets are provided on the control panel of the ESTIME 3000 AMF

and two on the ESTIME 3000 SC. One standard European 6.5mm jack socket and
one three blade socket as used in the U.S.A. and Japan and on the 3000 AMF
only, one miniature 3.5mm jack socket for the Automatic Multiple Fire system.

z

The 6.5mm jack socket accepts the supplied standard sync. lead (BW-1821) for

direct connection to the camera or the optional link sync. lead (BW-1823) for inter-
connection between Generators. This jack socket will also accept the Bowens
Omnicell (BW-1608) and other remote triggering devices fitted with 6.5mm jack
plugs.

z

The Automatic Multiple Fire miniature jack socket (28 Figure 1) may be used

whenever multiple flash is required. e.g. To provide greater exposure on a single
frame or for slow strobe effects.
