z

The ESTIME 3000 generators are truly portable as they can be connected to the

mains supply anywhere in the world without any need for adjustment or selection
for different voltages or frequency (autosense).

z

The ESTIME 3000 generators have been fitted with Electro-magnetic noise

filtering designed to meet the requirements specified for this type of equipment.

The following features are built in to the ESTIME 3000 AMF but NOT the ESTIME

3000 SC. To make use of either of these features requires the purchase of
accessories which are obtainable separately:-

z

A special socket enables the ESTIME 3000 AMF to be powered from a 12 volt car

battery via the Switched Mode Module accessory (Part Number BW-2906).

z

A built in Remote Control Receiver enables full remote control of up to 6

independent ESTIME 3000 AMF generators. All functions, including remote
triggering, are controllable by the Remote Control Transmitter accessory (Part
Number BW-2905).

2.  Power Supply Connection (9)

z

The ESTIME 3000 generators are designed to operate on an alternating current

(AC) supply of 100 to 250 volts 50/60 Hz. ESTIME 3000 generators must NEVER
be connected to any direct current (DC) supply, except the ESTIME 3000 AMF
which may be connected to a 12 volt battery via the special Switch Mode Power
Supply Module accessory for which it is specifically designed.

z

The ESTIME 3000 generators conform to current standards which require

connection to a properly earthed mains supply. The 3 core mains lead supplied
with the Generator is colour coded as follows:

 Live  L  Brown

 Neutral

N  Blue

 Earth  E  Green/Yellow

z

It is essential that all 3 wires are connected to the correct plug pins in accordance

with the above colour code and that the cable is securely clamped in the supply
plug. In the U.K. a 13 Amp fuse must be fitted in the supply plug.

3.  On/Off Switch (10)

z

The ON/OFF switch switches power to both the flash and modelling circuits of the

Estime Generators. The switch is illuminated green when ‘ON’.

z

Always switch ‘OFF’ the unit before plugging or unplugging flash heads, changing

fuses or modelling lamps.

4. Fuses (11)(12)

z

Protection of the modelling (11) and flash (12) circuitry is by two 20mm fuses

mounted on the control panel of the Generator. Both fuses are of anti-surge type,
the flash is rated at 15 Amp (T) and the Modelling at 10 Amp (T). The fuses should
never be replaced with fuses of a different type or rating.

z

Two spare Modelling 10 Amp (T) fuses are housed in the Generator handle (19),

under the removable cover strip. To change a fuse, use a small coin or
screwdriver to unscrew the fuse holder cap anticlockwise and then withdraw.
