Calibrate
When should you calibrate?
-
After an extended transit in a delivery truck.
-
After the piano action has been regulated.
-
After the hammers have been intensively serviced, including disassembly of the hammer
sensor bar (e.g., if the hammers have largely been removed).
-
After your CEUS has not been used for several months.
All saved
recordings
are
not
affected by calibration. The calibration only exerts an influence
on playback.
During calibration, the CEUS sometimes hits the keys very hard (fff). This makes great de-
mands on the instrument as well as on your ears. A piano technician should be present dur-
ing calibration in order to tune the CEUS upon completion.
Avoid touching the keys during the automatic calibration processes!
Note:
The strings may be dampened with a soft cloth during the calibration procedure. This
helps to reduce noise. Often, letting calibration run only for soft and medium keystrokes is
sufficient.
