FOREWORD
Thank you for purchasing a Bösendorfer CEUS.
The CEUS system is first and foremost an expansion of the pianist’s artistic possibilities. All of
its features are subordinate to the musical instrument, a Bösendorfer concert grand.
We have integrated the system into the classical grand piano design with great care, as well
as adapting its operation to the way a concert grand is played.
Home users will no doubt also take pleasure in the Bösendorfer CEUS. With just a few simple
steps, the user is able to experience the sound of the Bösendorfer grand piano and put to-
gether his or her own personal piano recital.
Professional recording studios, music conservatories and academic institutions are also our
customers. We have therefore provided for an “open architecture” to be able to record and
access the large amount of “musical” data in any form desired, both acoustically and elec-
tronically.
Our company has 30 years of experience in computer-controlled player piano systems for the
highest demands and 180 years of experience in piano building for professional concert use.
This combination is unique in the whole world.
