The EP40-D is PoE powered over the network cable from a suitable
PoE source (IEEE 802.3af) or a 24 V DC power supply may be ordered
separately.
The EP40-D has two network connections allowing multiple EP40-D
units to be daisy chained through a single CAT-5 home run connection
to a network switch. Power can also be daisy chained.

Its small form factor and integrated mounting bracket allows the EP40-D
to be placed inconspicuously near sources or destinations, thus reducing
