Installation mode A requires good thermal connection of the motor in com‐
bination with additional cooling, e.g. by using a fan or by cooling the con‐
tact surfaces. Regarding the structure of the contact surfaces at the ma‐
chine, a metal surface with high conductivity is required.
B
Installation mode B requires good thermal connection of the motor to the
machine. Regarding the structure of the contact surfaces at the machine,
a metal surface with high conductivity is required. The technical data for
this installation mode is specified in chapter 4 "Technical data" on page
21 .
C
Installation mode C assumes that a motor component (primary or secon‐
dary part) is thermally isolated and the other components must be well-
conductively connected to the machine. In this case, reckon with a per‐
formance reduction of the motor due to moderate heat dissipation
D
Installation mode D assumes that both motor components (primary and
secondary part) are connected to the machine in a thermally isolated way.
This mode of assembly is the worst case and it must be reckoned with a
significant disability of the motor.
