Memory Distribution
Windows CE is a so-called "embedded operating system", which uses parts of
the working memory as RAM disk. The remaining part is available as program
and data memory.
Under Start ▶ Settings ▶ Control panel ▶ System the partition between "data
memory" and "program memory" can be set in the "Memory" tab.
Data memory
The data memory is a defined sector in the working memory, into which data is
written. All data that is copied onto the IndraControl VEP **.4 device (not onto
the Compact Flash card), is written into this sector.
Program memory
A defined sector in the working memory that is used for executable programs.
